I got my first pet when I was five years old. A calico kitten for Christmas, just like the ones on the “Friskies” commercials circa 1980. We named her “Clicko” after the phrase that my Great Grandmother used to see us off “Be Clicko!” which meant – “have fun, be good, be safe, be happy!” That’s exactly what “Clicko” did for the next 13 years!
